Code of Conduct
How we behave on the forum, on Discord, and in in-game chat. A graded points system - transparent, consistent, and self-resetting over time.
Scope
This Code applies to every community space outside pure gameplay: the forum, the official Discord, in-game chat channels, signatures, avatars, and any other player-to-player interaction. Gameplay offences (hacking, duping, RWT) are covered in the Game Rules.
Core Agreement
- One active account per person per platform. Alternate accounts are prohibited.
- Usernames, signatures, and avatars must be appropriate - no slurs, no sexual content, no impersonation of staff.
- Staff reserves the right to rename accounts, remove signatures/avatars, and revoke channel access at any time.
- Accumulated points are summed. Crossing a threshold = suspension. See Escalation Tiers.
+5 PTS Breach of Forum Etiquette
Minor offences, mostly about order and basic courtesy. Staff exercise discretion.
- Double-posting, spamming, or thread flooding.
- Posting in the wrong section or duplicating content across forums.
- Unnecessary private messages to staff (please use support channels).
- Off-topic or unhelpful replies.
- Thread hijacking.
- Bumping a thread more than once per day (UTC).
- Necroposting - reviving an old thread with no meaningful contribution.
- Oversized, overly bright, or strobing signatures or avatars.
+20 PTS Discourteous Behaviour
Conduct that's offensive toward players, moderators, or the community.
- Excessive rudeness, negativity, or putdowns of other players.
- Spam or flooding with unnecessary content.
- Inappropriate language or circumventing language filters.
- Inciting flame wars.
- Ban evasion via alternate accounts - escalates directly to 120 points (permanent ban).
+40 PTS Antisocial Behaviour
Actions that create genuine menace within the community.
- Targeted harassment, bullying, threats - in public or in private messages.
- Bigoted, racist, sexist, homophobic or otherwise discriminatory content.
- False claims of staff affiliation or endorsement.
+80 PTS Highly Inappropriate Content
Highly disruptive material that has no place in the community.
- Pornographic or extreme-violence content.
- Hacking know-how, malicious software links, or promotion of prohibited tools.
- Methods that encourage rule-breaking.
- Commercial advertising without moderator approval.
+120 PTS Serious Offences
Direct attacks on the server or on its players.
- Hacking or attacks against the server or other users.
- Impersonation of staff or other users with malicious intent.
- Advertising other servers, competing games, or private services.
- Disclosure of confidential information about players or staff (doxxing).
- Phishing attempts.
- Robotic spam activity at scale.
Escalation Tiers
Points are cumulative. Once the running total crosses a threshold, the corresponding suspension is applied automatically.
| Points threshold | Consequence |
|---|---|
| 20+ points | 3-day temporary ban |
| 40+ points | 7-day temporary ban |
| 80+ points | 14-day temporary ban |
| 120 points | Permanent ban |
Point Expiration
Points expire 6 months after they are issued. A permanent ban (120 points) does not expire. Points accrued during a temporary ban remain on record - only the passage of time removes them.
Discord, Shoutbox & In-Game Chat
Same rules, same point system. On Discord and in-game chat, moderators may also apply a temporary mute (1-24 hours) as a first-line cool-down without issuing points. Access to these channels is a privilege, not a right, and may be revoked.
Appeals
Every ban or point issuance may be appealed once. The appeal is submitted via the support form or a dedicated Discord channel, with context and evidence attached. The team reviews within 7 business days. The appeal decision is final.
Additional Notes
- Joking about breaking a rule = breaking the rule.
- Impersonating staff, even in jest, results in a minimum of 40 points.
- Staff reserves discretion to adjust the points awarded based on context and severity.
- Knowing of a serious violation and failing to report may attract partial responsibility - please report through staff channels.
