It seems like someone intentionally colored this map to prevent people from discovering what's on the map. I'm sure the map is hand-drawn, but it seems a bit too primitive.

My experienced instinct tells me that you're not supposed to erase the red portion, but evaporate it using fire.

You'll be able to get Flints from hunting Dark Stumps, and I just need 2 of them to build a fire that can evaporate the red ink. You'll be able to find a lot of Dark Stumps in [map 102020100].
